Hydrant and Hose Line Training
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Firefighter Jack Melton
July 23, 2015

Tonight members trained on hitting the hydrant, hose line advancement and management. These operations are very important on the fire ground. The most important operation is to secure a water supply. Without a secured water supply, interior firefighters could be left in a very dangerous situation. Interior firefighters practiced stretching 3 inch hose to connect to our blitz fire in an evolution as if a store front building would happen to catch fire. They also practiced pulling and flaking our 350' 2 inch attack line and the 200' 1 3/4 inch attack line.

Units: Engine 24-1
