Today Kennett Fire Company members joined forces with Po-Mar-Lin fire company members for a training in firefighter safety and survival. This training better prepares firefighters for worst case scenarios. It teaches techniques to escape life hazards, downed firefighter CPR, patient removal, keeping calm in an extreme scenario, and a variety of other skills useful on the fire ground. The training culminates in a scenario involving search and rescue in a confined, smoke filled space, with authentic sound effects. Firefighters had to crawl through the maze, overcome entanglement and collapse obstacles to find the patient and remove them back through the obstacles.

All did a fantastic job, and we urge other agencies to use Guardian Safety and Survival Training Simulator. They were professional, knowledgeable, and brought to us a fun and educational training.
