Members Participate in Ropes and Riggings Course   By Ambulance Lieutenant Doug Rivell January 21, 2010   Recently fire fighters from the Kennett Fire Company participated in a Ropes and Rigging course taught by instructors from the Chester County Fire Training Academy. The course covered topics such as ropes, knots, accessories, lifting methods, harness usage, and pre-rigged setups. Members met for 3 consecutive Thursday evenings for class lecture mixed with practical hands on scenario's. Members will receive certifications in Basic Ropes and Riggings. Kennett fire fighters fully intend on continuing their education with technical rescue by taking more advanced courses in the near future.
