| On Monday February 23, 2009 the Kennett Fire Cc. No. 1 was called to assist Longwood Fire Co. and Delco Engine 692 for a vehicle accident at Route 1 and 52 north. Delco 692 was on standby for Longwood Fire Company as they were assisting Delco 59 on a house fire. The car had struck the rear of a flatbed tractor trailer causing severe damage to the vehicle. The operator of the car was trapped for an extended time due to the floor of the car wrapping around there feet. With care to not cause any further injury to the patient, the crews from Delco 69 and Kennett Fire Company extracted the patient without further injury. Companies were in service for 2 hours. |
