In the early morning hours of Halloween The Kennett Fire Company was dispatched for an electrical fire in the 200 block of E. Linden Street in Kennett Square Borough. Engine 24-1 responded and arrived on scene to find an electrical fire in the second floor ceiling with extension into the third floor. As crews investigated they discovered a heavy smoke condition on the third floor of the residence and the assignment was upgraded to a dwelling response adding units from Avondale, Longwood, and Po-Mar-Lin Fire Companies. The fire was placed under control approximately 30 minutes after the initial dispatch.
