Assist Avondale with Hay Bale Fire

In the late evening of Tuesday September 29th, 2011 The Kennett Fire Company was alerted to assist The Avondale Fire Company (Station 23) in the area of Sharp and Hillendale Roads for a Hay Bale Fire. Chief 23 arrived on scene to find large hay bales on fire, requesting additional man-power and tankers for water. Engine 24-1 and Brush 24 responded to assist 23 crews with manpower at the scene. Tanker 24 conducted water supply with Tanker 23, Tanker 19, and Tanker 36. Crews worked through out the night fighting the fire and was placed under control by Chief 23 after 5:00AM on Wednesday September 30th.
