| Early Morning, a local business owner of the Avondale area entered work to audible alarms from the smoke detectors and very heavy black smoke filling the room. She immediately called 911. Chief 23 arrived on scene confirming the report and upgraded the assignment to a working fire. Kennett Fire Company assisted with an Engine. Crews initially made entry to the building in search of the fire as it was unknown yet the place of origin. Avondale's engine crew pulled a hand line into the building making contact with the interior crew to extinguish the fire. Minor overhaul operations were completed to ensure the fire had not spread through the wall. The fire was placed under control and the building was well ventilated. Fire Marshals are investigating the cause. |
