Just before 12:30am this morning, Kennett Fire Company and other mutual aid companies were dispatched to assist Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company on a house fire in the 100 block of Poplar Tree Road in East Marlborough Township. Kennett's volunteers responded to the scene with Engine 24, Tower 24, Tanker 24, and Fire Police.
Engine 24 arrived as the 2nd Due Engine and laid 1,000 feet of 5-inch hose and supplied Po-Mar-Lin's Engine 36 with water. Tower 24 arrived as the 2nd Due Special, provided ground ladders at the scene, and performed searches of the building. Crews from the Engine and Tower also assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. Tanker 24 provided one load of water.
Kennett's Fire Police assisted with traffic control around the scene.
The last crews cleared the scene around 3:30am.
