House Fire on South Union Street

At 3:39pm on Saturday, April 9th, Kennett Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company, and mutual aid fire companies were dispatched for a house fire in the 200 block of South Union Street in Kennett Square Borough. Kennett's Engine 24, Rescue 24, Tower 24, and Fire Police made the response.

Engine 24 and Longwood's Ladder 25 arrived to find smoke coming from the three-story home. Crews stretched a 400' handline into the home and discovered fire in a second-floor bedroom. The fire was extinguished and placed under control within eight minutes after arrival.

Fire Police from Kennett Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company, and Avondale Fire Company provided traffic control in the area.

Crews cleared the scene at 5:22pm. No injuries were reported.
