At 10:21pm on Thursday, August 4th, Kennett Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company, and Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company responded to the 400 block of West Cypress Street in Kennett Square Borough for an accident with a vehicle reportedly overturned. Crews arrived to find an unoccupied SUV on its roof in the middle of the roadway. A nearby parked car was also damaged in the accident. There were no patients to be treated as the driver fled the scene before first responders arrived. Both damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by Blittersdorf's Towing.

Fire police from Kennett Fire Company and Longwood Fire Company closed roads in the area until all units cleared the scene at 11:15pm.
