Around 9:30pm on Monday, September 5th, Kennett Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company, and Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident with reports of entrapment in the area of mile marker 22.3 on the northbound side of the Route 1 Bypass in Kennett Township. Units arrived to find one overturned vehicle off the roadway and quickly determined that there was no entrapment.

Crews cleaned up debris from the roadway and assisted the PA State Police with removing sections of damaged guardrail. Longwood Fire Company's medical personnel checked the driver of the vehicle and determined that there were no injuries.

Fire police from Kennett Fire Company and Longwood Fire Company closed the northbound lanes of Route 1 for a period of time while tow operators worked to remove the vehicle from the scene.

All units cleared the scene at 10:49pm.
