Tiller

Hello folks, my name is Tiller.

I'm a full bred Dalmatian and I joined the fire company in October 1997.  I succeeded Blazer who followed Douser the original Dalmatian who came here in June of 1975.  I live at the firehouse and my duties include fire prevention, public relations and keeping Joyce, the Office Manager, company.

I also oversee "Flashy" the robot fire dog and "Buddy" the Dalmatian suit with the guy inside.  I want to tell you what a typical day is like for a "firehouse dog".  I usually get up around 6:45AM when Paulie or Ronnie come in and I immediately head for the door.  After a quick jog around the property I'm back inside working on getting some of that breakfast treat the guys brought in with them.

At 7:45 when Joyce comes in I'll need to be on my best behavior in hopes I can get some of that WaWa treat she has with her.  Now its time to lay down and take a nap, usually I can lay down between Joyce's chair and the supply closet but one SBD and I find myself being escorted to the club room.  It's important that I stay in the office because that's where they keep the dog biscuits and I find that if I go to the supply closet door and scratch the door and whine a little someone will usually get me a biscuit.

Well it's almost noon time and guys will be stopping by for lunch so I've got to get out to the club room (sorry Joyce).  OK, today it looks like pizza, cheesesteaks and McDonalds, after a nice lunch it's now time for a little siesta.  Oh no, Day Care Kids!  Every Firedog's worst nightmare, why do they all have to pull your ears?  After spending an hour with them I'm ready for my afternoon jog and inspection of the property, then it's back inside for another nap and a nice dog food dinner.

After another nap it's time to meet the guys at the snack machine and see who will share, love those moon pies!  Once everyone leaves I'll check the table for leftovers and hit the sack, hopefully we'll have no calls tonight and tomorrow it starts all over again.
