Motorcycle Accident Just Inside the Municipal Limits

On May 26th 2009 the department and Longwood MICU 25 were dispatched at 18:27 hours to Route 82 north of Creek Rd in Kennett Township for a Motorcycle Accident. Chief 24 responded and arrived on the scene at the Border of Kennett Township and the DE state line. Chief found a male lying on the ground next to his bike alert with minor injuries. Deputy 24 and 24-20 arrived on the scene shortly after and initiated patient care. Engine 24 assisted Ambulance 24 and MICU 25 with immobilizing the patient and traffic control. Patient was transported to Christianna Hospital by 25 for evaluation. The Department was in service for one half hour and the incident was further investigated by the PA state Police.
