Assist Longwood on Vehicle Accident with Entrapment

During Game 4 of the NLCS Phillies vs. Dodgers, The Kennett Fire Company was dispatched to Kennett Pike (Route 52) and Hillendale Road in Kennett Township to assist The Longwood Fire Company (Station 25) with a vehicle accident with confirmed entrapment. Engine 24-1 responded and upon arrival of the scene was assigned to man power staging. Longwood crews extricated the patient from a pickup truck on its side in 20 minutes with the Hurst Extrication Tool. Engine 24-1 personnel assisted in packaging the patient for transport to Christiana Trauma Center by MICU 25-3. Engine 24-1 cleared the scene and went available for service shortly after.
