On the evening of Sunday December 27th The Kennett Fire Company was dispatched to Marybell Lane in Kennett Township for an auto accident reported serious. Chief 24 responded and arrived on scene to find one vehicle on its side, down an embankment. The driver of the vehicle was trapped inside, and the assignment was upgraded to an auto accident with entrapment. Chief 24 established Marybell Command. Engine 24-1 arrived on scene and began to access the patient through the roof with the hydraulic rescue tools. Engine 24-2 arrived on scene shorty after and helped extricate the patient up the embankment with a stokes basket. The driver was transported by MICU 25-3 to a local facility to be evaluated. 24 units quickly cleared the scene as the company was dispatched to another auto accident in the district, which was later re-called.
