Morning House Fire in Kennett Square

On the morning of Monday April 19th at 0730 hours, The Kennett Fire Company was dispatched for a reported house fire on East South Street in Kennett Square Borough along with Longwood Fire Company (Station 25) for a full company and Avondale Fire Company (Station 23) for an engine. Chief 24 responded and arrived on scene to find a working basement fire. Chief 24 established South Street Command. Engine 24-1 arrived on scene and the crew entered the basement from the first floor and knocked down the fire. Crews from Tower 24 and Ladder 25 conducted ventilation operations.
