On October 21st, 2010 the crew of Ambulance 24-2 flew out at burn patient who walked into the firehouse. Ambulance 24-2 requested a helicopter to land at the station. Sky Care 1 out of Brandywine Hospital took flight and arrived with in minutes after being placed on stand-by. Squad 24 secured a landing zone in the parking lot of the Red Clay Room. Kennett firefighters assisted in packaging and loading of the patient into Sky Care 1. Sky Care 1 transported the patient to a burn center for treatment.
