On the evening of October 5, 2007 at 2245 hrs the Kennett Fire Co. was alerted to an Automatic alarm at the Kennett High School 100 East South St. Kennett Square Pa. Upon arrival of the first units the alarm was reported as a general fire alarm and sprinkler activation. Due to a lack of information to the fire department by the School District it was unknown where the sprinkler head had activated. One of the school employees located the fire in the art room on the first floor of the west wing. In the Kiln room the heat from the Kiln's activated several sprinkler heads causing a large amout of water to enter the building. Last unit cleared at 0038 hours on 10/6/2007
